This meeting was held to implement Phase II of the IPNet project. It consisted of an online training stint from August to September 2009 and a two-day workshop in Alicante, Spain. Participants also made a site visit to the European Commission's Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, as well as to universities and institutes of technologies in the Alicante area.
The IPNet Phase II was a follow-up to IPNet Phase I (2007), which produced the "IPNet Management Benchmarking Guide" and the "IPNet Management Best Practice Guide." It aimed to disseminate IP guidelines and provide training for representatives of higher education institutions. The IPNET Phase II also addressed the extension of the network's membership and the enhancement of its web page to make it a focal point for the dissemination of IP guides.
