Sustainable Development & Environment |

This exchange was created for active volunteers, staff, and Board members (aged 18-30) of voluntary service organisations involved in international projects. It gave participants a chance to familiarise themselves with environmental issues and share their knowledge and experiences. At the same time, participants explored sustainable choices and lifestyles from a larger perspective, thus linking local action to global reflection.
Intercultural learning was used as a key resource to deepen understanding and respect for cultural diversity and link it to the environment. Participants were able to critically reflect on their perceptions, attitudes, and actions, and further develop the skills needed to implement activities in their day-to-day work in international voluntary service organisations.
- How can the current practices of voluntary service organisations and projects be improved?
- What is the global impact of local environmental actions?
- What is the role of traditional and indigenous knowledge in nature conservation?
