The opening night of the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival 2026 features a double-bill of two performances that each open up their own world<\/strong>, but fully come into their own when experienced back to back. With a single ticket, you see Everything Falls Dramatic<\/i><\/strong> and TomorrowisNowTodayisYesterday<\/i><\/strong>, separated by an interval, as two parts of one continuous experience<\/strong>.<\/p>

In Everything Falls Dramatic<\/i><\/strong>, time slows down. Through physical, repetitive choreography, an intimate exploration of impermanence, farewell and connection<\/strong> unfolds. The dance moves between calm and tension, between being alone and carrying things together<\/strong>. Without explaining anything, the work makes you feel how loss and change pass through the body<\/strong>, and how this very vulnerability intensifies life.\u00a0<\/p>

After the interval, the focus shifts to a different kind of unrest. TomorrowisNowTodayisYesterday<\/i> <\/strong>places the body at the centre of a world of information, opinions and digital noise<\/strong>. On a bare stage, driven by club-like soundscapes, the dancers move between recognisable and exaggerated gestures. What appears light and playful takes on a darker undertone: the constant pressure to be visible, to keep up and to stay in motion<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>

Together, these two works form an opening night that does not explain, but lets you experience. An evening about living in the present, balancing between silence and stimulus, between disappearance and overload<\/strong>, and about how we relate to each other and to ourselves within that tension.<\/p>

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBorn in South Korea, Sung Im Her studied contemporary dance at Hansung University and later at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels. After graduating, she worked extensively as a performer with leading European and Korean companies, including Les ballets C de la B, Needcompany and Jan Fabre\/Troubleyn. Alongside this, she developed a distinct choreographic practice marked by physical intensity, precision and repetition. \nHer work has been commissioned and supported internationally, including by the Korean Arts Council, Aerowaves, The Place London and Seoul Performing Arts Festival.
