With the mission to\u00a0honour traditional art and the diversity of cultures<\/strong>,\u00a0BRIDGE<\/em>\u00a0is a music collaboration of Siong Leng Musical Association (Singapore) and Tempo Reale (Italy) that\u00a0brings together Nanyin (traditional Chinese folk music) with electronics and sound arts.\u00a0<\/strong>This collaboration was the result of the ASEF-Temenggong Artists-In-Residence, a hybrid residency programme developed under the framework of the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival 2024. Following a period of 6 months of exchanges, in the stunning spaces of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto (Mart), 8 musicians from very different backgrounds will present the result of their residency with this unique music concert. \u00a0<\/p>

The slow, simple and elegant melodies of the \u201cmusic from the South\u201d of China, performed on distinctive instruments such as a bamboo flute and a crooked-neck lute, merge with the digital electroacoustic of contemporary Euro-American sound art. A performance that is a dialogue, an emotional journey,\u00a0a moving cross-cultural collaboration<\/strong>\u00a0bridging the endangered intangible heritage of Nanyin (inscribed in the UNESCO list in 2009) with contemporary and experimental elements.\u00a0<\/p>

A Q&A session with the artists will be held after the performance.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
