ASEF at the 3rd ASEM Transport Ministers’ Meeting

Published on 03 May 2015

ASEF’s Deputy Executive Director, Mr Karsten WARNECKE, took part in the 3rd ASEM Transport Ministers’ Meeting (ASEM TMM3) held on 29-30 April 2015 in Riga, Latvia. This meeting, which brought together over 450 representatives from government and business in the transport industry, discussed possible collaborations for building connectivity between Asia and Europe through improved transport links.

Connectivity is one of the core themes that ASEM has been highlighting since the 10th ASEM Summit (ASEM10) in October 2014 in Milan, Italy. ASEF is working towards contributing to this theme through the forthcoming ASEF Outlook Report 2016/2017, which will be dedicated to Asia-Europe Connectivity and published in 2016 in support of the 11th ASEM Summit (ASEM11) to be held in Mongolia.
