Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, ASEF’s Governance & Economy Department and its partners, saw it in their responsibility to migrate the face-to-face capacity-building activities to virtual platforms. What initially appeared to be a serious setback for all the projects planned to be held in 2020, resulted in a unique opportunity to expand the reach of the 19th Informal ASEM Seminar on Human Rights (ASEMHRS19) to digital platforms. By redesigning the ASEMHRS19 related capacity-building courses we ensure that participants can attend each training/webinar from their homes.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought up new challenges that were met with innovation towards digitalization of Governance & Economy projects. We are therefore proud to host the virtual 19th Informal ASEM Seminar on Human Rights – Online Training on “Human Rights-Compliant Policing”.
In addition, the exploration of new project formats and digital tools enabled us to create an entirely new capacity-building component; the first Informal ASEM Seminar on Human Rights – Webinar on “Access to Education and Human Rights Education in Times of COVID-19”.
Stay up-to-date on future ASEMHRS related events through our website, newsletter or social media and join us virtually from wherever you are.
