The 4th ASEF Higher Education Innovation Laboratory (ASEFInnoLab4) took place in Shanghai, China from 23 to 28 October 2023 with the theme “Universities’ Role in Teaching Artificial Intelligence (AI) Skills and Entrepreneurship.” It gathered 20 outstanding academics, senior university administrators, and field experts who collaborated to discuss and find ways to address challenges concerning AI Governance, AI in Education, and AI for Sustainable Development. They also joined and spoke at various Roundtable Discussions of the prestigious 2023 Shanghai Forum.
During the programme, we interviewed the participants on the growth and development of AI, the key role of universities in fostering innovation for a sustainable future, and the importance of dialogue in ensuring AI works for the collective good.
