Meet this year’s cohort of ASEFYLS Navigators!
The 5th ASEF Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS5) takes place from August to December 2023, focusing on the theme of ‘Leadership & Society 5.0’. The 5th edition will be a hybrid project with collaborative programme elements taking place virtually and in Salamanca, Spain.
The ASEFYLS5 Navigators are alumni from ASEFEdu and partner organisations who will join the ASEFYLS5 as resource persons. This group of young Asians and Europeans will have the opportunity to un-learn, learn & relearn the “What” and “How” of leadership, particularly team leadership. 20 Navigators have been selected, including nominations from the University of Salamanca, the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), ASEAN Youth Organization (AYO) and the Student Thinktank for Europe-Asia Relations (STEAR).
From 21-25 June 2023, the Navigators will receive a capacity building training in Singapore on facilitation techniques, and intercultural understanding in multicultural teams. Subsequently, they will lead groups of Asians and Europeans to collaborate and propose solutions for real-life global challenges.
This cohort come from 19 countries, with varied academic and professional backgrounds and youth leaders in their own communities.
