Farewell to Ambassador Khanh

Published on 31 Jul 2012

ASEF pays tribute to Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Khanh, the Foundation’s 5th Deputy Executive Director seconded by the Government of Vietnam. During his tenure from 1 August 2008 to 31 July 2012, Ambassador Khanh served the mission of ASEF and contributed to the promotion of ASEF and ASEM.

Looking back on his term, Ambassador Khanh says: “It was really a fascinating and challenging experience for me even though ASEM and ASEF was not something unfamiliar for I have had the opportunity to be at the first Summit in Bangkok in 1996, and a number of ASEM Summits and FMMs subsequently held in Asia and Europe; and had once served as the ASEF Governor for Vietnam.”

ASEF wishes him all the best for his future.

Ambassador Khanh will be succeeded by Mr Karsten Warnecke, seconded by the Government of Germany.
