The 3rd Asia-Europe Art Camp gathered 20 new media/art management students from 4th-12th August, 2005 in Bandung, Indonesia for a dialogue on artists’ initiatives and its relation with new media arts practices.

Related aspects on new integration patterns that reconcile arts and technology were also discussed, including their cultural implications, which integrate artistic activity with individual negotiation and social interaction.

The programme was articulated around lectures, cultural visits and a workshop “36 frames” which culminated in an exhibition, opened on 11th August, 2005 with more than 200 visitors.

The Art Camp was co-organised with the Bandung Centre for New Media Arts in cooperation with the Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, the Bandung French Cultural Institute and subsidised by the LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts, Singapore; Mondriaan Foundation; University of Porto, Faculty of Arts, Portugal; and University of Art and Design, Helsinki.
