The ASEF Public Health Network will organise a consultation with its key-stakeholders to discuss how best to tackle the challenges in managing public health emergencies. The event will be held on 16-17 September 2013 at the World Health Organization – Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Public Health Network is part of the ASEM Initiative for the Rapid Containment of Pandemic Influenza, launched at the 9th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (May 2009 in Hanoi, Vietnam). With the support from the Government of Japan, the Network has strengthened bi-regional capacities of individuals and insitutions to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.
