`The Big Bang: The Art of Percussion' was a full-day event held at the Royal Festival Hall at the South Bank Centre in London, the United Kingdom on 4th April, 1998. The programme comprised workshops and performances by artistes from Europe and the Far East. Contributing to the eclectic programme were Korean and Austrian drummers, Anglo-Japanese electronic rock, Franco-Vietnamese drummers, Singaporean percussionists, Spanish and Japanese musicians.
