The 2013 ASEF Higher Education Programme (AHEP) Advisory Committee (AC) Meeting was co-organised with Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) on 28-29 November 2013 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The AC reviewed the various initiatives of AHEP in 2013 and provided practical recommendations for the Programme’s development.

Part of the AC Meeting's agenda was ASEF's participation in the upcoming Intermediate Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) (May 2014, China) for the 5th Asia-Europe Meeting of Ministers for Education (ASEMME5) (2015, Latvia). Preparations for the 4th ASEM Rectors’ Conference and Students’ Forum (ARC4) (September 2014, Thailand) was also discussed.

The AC occupies a central place in AHEP's structure as an observatory and guiding body – ensuring the relevance and effective delivery of AHEP's projects to further the ASEM Education Process.
