Following the first workshop held in Osaka, Japan, this second working group gathered 20 high-level participants from multinational companies, trade unions and the academia. Profvitit Muntarbhom, from Chulalongkorn, was the main rapporteur for this meeting.

As the topic was on the consequences of foreign direct investment on human rights, the participants identified the current trends and best practices in Asia and Europe; its impact and constraints on the developing countries; and attained a better understanding of the respective roles undertaken by the different actors.
