This Programme Paper draws on the 6th Asia-Europe Editors’ Roundtable organised in Bangkok, Thailand (13 October 2013) by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and Chatham House on the eve of the 10th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Finance Ministers’ Meeting.
The roundtable presented a unique opportunity for senior editors from Asian and European media organizations to participate in a focused discussion, which examined the push towards a multiple-currency system to suit the emergence of a multipolar world, and to analyse the reforms needed in the international monetary system (IMS) from Asian and European perspectives.
