ASEF received “Education and Science” Casa Asia Award

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) was selected by the jury of the Casa Asia Awards 2023 as the winner for the category of “Education and Science”.

The selection was based on its 25-year career helping to promote mutual understanding and collaboration between the civil societies of Asia and Europe. With this award, the jury recognized, in particular, the work of ASEF in the educational field, where its programs serve as a platform young people and create networks that facilitate collaboration between students, teachers and educators from Asia and Europe. ASEF considers this award as an expression of invaluable encouragement to enhance the exchanges between Asia and Europe in the future.

ASEF congratulates the other recipients of this distinguished award: Ms Masih Alinejad (for Diversity and Sustainable Development); Mr Guillermo Gómez Rivera and Mr Nick Deocampo (for Culture and Society); and Ms Margaret Chen (for Economy and Business).  

The award ceremony was attended by representatives of the four institutions that are members of the Casa Asia consortium: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona City Council and Madrid City Council, as well as the Ambassadors of the countries from the Asia-Pacific region accredited in Spain.
