From 18 – 23 March 2024, Ms Freya CHOW-PAUL, Youth Project Lead, ASEF Education Department, was invited to join the World Youth Development Forum’s Agenda Committee Consultation Meeting in Hainan, China.
WYDF is organised by the All-China Youth Federation (ACYF), long-term partners of ASEF, in Haikou & Sanya, Hainan, China, and aims to create a platform for dialogue amongst international organisations, governments, youth organisations, young leaders & all sectors of society, in order to advocate for prioritising youth development and to promote the joint implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This year, the ASEFYLS Capacity Buildings 2024 will be held alongside the World Youth Development Forum 2024 in Beijing & Hangzhou, China.
During the Agenda Committee Consultation Meeting, ASEF was invited, as an international organisation observer, to contribute input and recommendations on the upcoming WYDF programme design. ASEF took the opportunity also to congratulate All-China Youth Federation on the organisation of WYDF 2023 and the plans for 2024.
In addition to the Agenda Committee Consultation Meeting, ASEF was also invited to observe and attend the BRICS Youth Dialogue on Science & Technology Innovation.
ASEF took the opportunity to connect and re-connect with Global Youth Stakeholders and strengthen partnerships.
