Ahead of the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival 2024 in Italy, an official curtain raiser will take place on 21 June in Singapore. ASEF Culture and Temenggong Artists-In-Residence are proud to present the preview of the music performance BRIDGE, an artistic collaboration between Tempo Reale (Italy) and Siong Leng Musical Association (Singapore).
A performance that is a dialogue, an emotional journey, a moving cross-cultural collaboration bridging the endangered intangible heritage of Nanyin (inscribed in the UNESCO list in 2009) with contemporary and experimental elements. This creative collaboration was brought together through the Festival’s art residency programme which provides opportunities for co-creation, capacity building and knowledge exchange amongst artists in Asia and Europe.
The full showcase of BRIDGE will be staged in Italy during the #AECFest2024 in September in partnership with Oriente Occidente.

This event is by invitation only. A series of open-to-the-public performances will be organised in September as part of the Festival closing curtain in Singapore.
