Our arts residency programme fosters cross-cultural collaboration and knowledge exchange by providing artists with time, space and resources to develop new artistic projects. This hybrid programme brings together creatives from diverse disciplines, backgrounds and countries to collaborate, research, experiment and exchange ideas, benefiting from mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to resources for creative exploration.

Since 2023, we have supported more than 10 artists from Asia and Europe. With the collaboration of various partners providing space and expertise, the artists are given opportunities to explore, exchange and engage with the local arts and cultural scene. Immersing themselves in the residency location’s rich heritage and artistic practices, they draw inspiration that influences their creative processes.

As a result of the arts residencies, the participating artists present their work as part of the festival programme. These presentations may take various forms, including previews, full performances, studio showings, or artist talks, reflecting the stage of each project's development. These residencies are an invaluable component of our festival, demonstrating the importance of supporting artists and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for their artistic processes.
