The 7th ASEM Education Ministers’ Meetings (ASEM ME7) took place between 15–16 May 2019 in the Palace of the Parliament, Bucharest, Romania. This year, ASEM ME7 is hosted by the Ministry of National Education of Romania.
Themed “Connecting Education: Inclusion, Mobility & Excellence in Support of the Sustainable Development Goals”, the meeting aims to strengthen collective action to achieve SDGs, especially SDG4 – ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning, and reinforce the global political commitment to education.
ASEM ME7 is an opportunity to discuss concrete initiatives and possible collaborations at all levels of education. It will help bridge Asia and Europe by providing policymakers and ministers with ideas for joint initiatives involving innovating education in this age of globalisation and connectivity.
ARC‘s results, including policy recommendations and research, feed into the preparation of ASEM MEs, which ARC rectors and student representatives are invited to attend.
