Mr Md. Rais Hasan Sarower was recently elected Vice-Chair of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) Board of Governors.
Mr Md. Rais Hasan Sarower is the current ASEF Governor from Bangladesh, and he is also the Director General of the Regional Organizations Wing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. He joined the Bangladesh Civil Service in 2001. In the past, Mr Md. Rais Hasan Sarower has been stationed in Türkiye, Malaysia, Italy, and the UAE.
As he takes on this new position, he reiterates his confidence in ASEF as the beacon for Asia-Europe exchanges. Mr Sarower is committed to work together with the current Chair of the ASEF Board of Governors, Mr Javier Parrondo (Spain), in leading the organisation into the future.
