ASEF Partners with SEAMEO RIHED for the 2024 Inter-Regional Research Symposium
ASEF is proud to announce that in the framework of the ARC10 Project we are collaborating with the Southeast Asian Ministers for Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development (RIHED) in organising the 2024 Inter-Regional Research Symposium! The event will be held at the Sukosol Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on 20-22 November 2024 and will carry the theme “Transforming Higher Education: Towards Sustainable Development.”
This year’s symposium will be a venue to tackle the progress made on regional and global goals towards transformative and sustainable higher education. In an era of rapid change, it aims to address the need for discussions on reshaping learning paradigms, embracing digital transformation, and advancing Sustainable Development.
ASEF, through its Education Department, joined the 2024 IRRS’ Organising Committee along with key regional organisations and national ministries to steer the preparations for the event. As part of this partnership, we are also working on an on-site workshop and panel session aligned with theme of the 10th ASEF Regional Conference on Higher Education.
The Call for Abstracts for the 2024 IRSS is now open!
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts for a chance to present your study at the Symposium. Submissions should be relevant to any of the overarching theme’s key tracks below:

Aside from the opportunity to have your research presented at the event, attendees may also wish to register as participants to join higher education experts in discussing the transformation of regional and international higher education.
