On 2 November 2024, the initial findings of this year’s upcoming ASEF Youth Report (to be published soon) were presented at the AEGEE (European Students’ Forum) Annual General Assembly ‘Agora’, by Ms Freya CHOW-PAUL, Youth Project Lead, Education Department.
AEGEE is one of Europe’s biggest interdisciplinary student organisations, striving for a democratic, diverse and borderless Europe. As a non-governmental, politically independent, and non-profit organisation AEGEE is open to students and young people from all faculties and disciplines. Founded in 1985 in Paris, today AEGEE has grown to a Network of 13,000 AEGEEans, present in 161 cities in 40 countries all over Europe.
The Agora is the General Assembly of the association, held twice a year, in spring and in autumn, gathering students for three to four days. The Agora is the place where young Europeans gather in one place to build the future of the organisation together. The main discussions and decisions take place during the plenary meetings. The participants of the Agora can also join workshops, progress meetings about ongoing projects, and other programmes. External organisations are also invited to present their work or opportunities to help inform AEGEEans.
This year’s ASEF Youth Report focuses on young people’s perspectives on and preparedness for a human-centered future Society 5.0, and is based on the results of a survey conducted with almost 4,000 young people across Asia and Europe.
The ASEF Youth Report will be published in early 2025, sign up to our mailing list below to be the first to hear when it’s published.
