ASEFClassNet17 Faculty Collaboration – Cross-Faculty Dialogue Phase Concludes with 9 Exciting Project Proposals

The ASEFClassNet17 Faculty Collaboration has reached an exciting milestone with the conclusion of its Cross-Faculty Dialogue Phase. This dynamic phase saw researchers, teacher trainers, and academics from the Faculty of Education from across Higher Education Institutions across Asia and Europe come together, resulting in the development of nine innovative project  on AI  and Education (AI&ED).

Overview of the Nine Project Proposals:

The culmination of this phase is the creation of nine project proposals under 4 categories, each promising to transform educational practices. The projects are:

1. AI Learning for Teachers by Dr Dai Hwee TAN, Master Teacher, Academy of Singapore Teachers, Ministry of Education, Singapore & Mrs Theodora KAKOURI, Digital Education Teacher Trainer, Cyprus Pedagogical Institute – Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, Cyprus
2. Leveraging Generative AI for Teaching and Learning by Professor Seng Chee TAN, Associate Dean, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
3. Teacher Training Course Manual Development by Mr Md Nahid Ferdous BHUIYAN, Teacher Trainer, National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM), Ministry of Education, Bangladesh

4. AI in Foreign Language Learning and Beyond – A Comparative Study by Dr Arianna Ilona KITZINGER, Associate professor, Head of Research Centre University of Sopron, Hungary
5. Exploring Teachers’ Competencies for Using AI to Support Meaningful Teaching in a Changing World  by Dr Sarinporn CHAIVISIT, Instructor of Educational Technology, Kasetsart University, Thailand
6. Redesigning a Framework of Digital Pedagogy in AI Educational Era by Dr Watsatree DITEEYONT, Assistant Professor, Kasetsart University, Thailand
