We are pleased to share an announcement from our partners the ASEM Expert Group on Digitalisation and the ASEM Education Secretariat (AES) on their upcoming event:
Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Online Seminar on “Best Practices on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education”
5 November 2024, 09:00-11:00 CET (UTC+1)
The event will be open to all interested university staff, students and stakeholders and will bring together the teacher and the student perspective with representatives from Asia and Europe, encouraging the exchange of practices and requirements regarding the use of AI in today’s teaching and learning (T&L). It aims to provide a cross-regional, eye-to-eye-level platform for debate on best practices and to foster mutual understanding.
The target group are university staff (teachers, administrators, managers) as well as students who are interested in an open exchange on the practical use of AI in higher education settings. Other education stakeholders are equally welcome.
The webinar will feature speakers such as Prof Dr Abtar Darshan Singh from the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation and Prof Dr Carlos Delgado Kloos from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid who will represent the teacher perspective. Urszula Lis from the European Students Union (ESU) and Manan Singh of the ASEAN Youth Organisation (AYO) will represent the European and Asian students’ perspectives, respectively.
A panel discussion moderated by Mr Ruben Janssens of Ghent University and a Q&A segment will follow to tie these viewpoints together and delve deeper into the topic.
