MNB World, the international channel of Mongolia’s national broadcaster, covered the opening of the 24th Informal ASEM Seminar on Human Rights (ASEMHRS24) co-organised by ASEF, Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar from 12 to 14 October 2026 under the theme “The Future of Human Rights – From Local to Global”.

The report highlights how the seminar brought together representatives of government agencies, national human rights institutions and researchers from 51 countries across Asia and Europe to discuss emerging challenges such as artificial intelligence, climate change and business responsibilities. It also features short interviews with Ms D Sunjid, Chief Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, and Ms G Narantuya, Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia.

Recommendations and policy documents will be developed based on the seminar’s discussions.
