Asia-Europe Museum Network (ASEMUS) is currently promoting the exchange of museum educators in Asia and Europe to enhance their professional experience and strengthen cultural understanding between the two regions. This ‘Exchange of Museum Educators Grant Programme’ has been supported by ASEF since 2006.

The grant programme helps to develop a broader understanding about Asian and European cultures, share best practices in museum education between partner-museums, and improve capacity in the framework of educational activities rooted in intercultural dialogue.

Museum educators from the ASEMUS network are invited to apply to this 2-week exchange programme by submitting proposals. Their proposals need to address critical issues and themes relevant for both Asia and Europe.

Interested Asian and European individuals working in museums that are not yet members of the ASEMUS network are also encouraged to request ASEMUS membership for their museum and can subsequently apply for the grant.

Deadline for submissions is 1 December 2013.
