The 7th edition of the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival will officially commence on 26 June 2025 in Kraków, Poland, with the presentation of Looking Out and Anchoring Gaze within the Matter of. This site-specific performance, to be staged on the terrace of the Europe-Far East Gallery with the Manggha Museum’s distinctive architecture as its backdrop, is the result of an artist residency supported by ASEF.
Conceptualised, directed, and performed by Karol Tymiński (Poland), in collaboration with musician and composer Michiko Ogawa (Japan), this multidisciplinary performance offers a bold choreographic and sonic exploration of space, perception, and embodiment. Through movement and sound, the performance engages in a dialogue with the architecture and environment, inviting audiences into a reflective and immersive experience.
This event organised with the financial support of the People’s Republic of China will be presented in conjunction with the 46th ASEF Board of Governors Meeting in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
