The 7th edition of the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival (AECFest) successfully took place in Poland, China, Singapore and Lao PDR from June to October 2025. This year, ASEF Culture presented a vibrant line up of music, visual art exhibitions, multidisciplinary performances, contemporary dance and theatre, film and panel discussions featuring artists from 12 countries of Asia and Europe – China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Singapore, Spain, Thailand and Viet Nam.
Spanning 4 key events— the Curtain Raiser in Poland, the Main Programme in China, and the Closing Curtain in both Singapore and Lao PDR —the Festival celebrated cultural diversity and cross-continental collaborations like never before, while also serving as a platform for cultural diplomacy between Asia and Europe.
In a world where boundaries continue to exist despite technological advancements, the Festival shone as a beacon of artistic unity, transcending geographies and language barriers to bring Asia and Europe closer together.
Looking ahead, the 8th edition of AECFest will take place in Europe, promising new artistic journeys and collaborations that continue to strengthen cultural ties between the two regions.
