The 11th Asia Europe Economic Forum (AEEF) will take place on 5-6 December 2014in Tokyo, Japan. Hosted by the AEEF member organisation, Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), the theme of the Forum is “What can Asia learn from economic reforms in Europe?”.
This high-level event will see participation from organisations including Tokyo University, the European Central Bank, Korea Institute of Finance as well as from the Ministries of Finance of Germany and Italy. Key themes to be addressed will include: strengthening the world trading system, globalisation and income distribution, and projected growth trends in Asia and Europe.
This will be the 3rd AEEF-related event of the year following the successful hosting of the 10th AEEF in May 2014 in Berlin, Germany and a special side-event held in conjunction with the 11thASEM Finance Ministers’ Meeting on 12 September 2014 in Milan, Italy.
The Tokyo event will continue to build on the strong AEEF brand with the programme addressing key concerns of policymakers in Asia and Europe.
