ASEFClassNet EmpowerEd Project 2025
Climate Alliance: Empowering Educators through Cross-Cultural Collaboration in Climate Education

Building on the success of ASEFClassNet17, where educators from Austria, Singapore, and Australia co-designed and implemented a climate change education unit using generative AI, this project showed how AI can enhance cross-cultural collaboration, student agency, and innovative pedagogy.

This project will expand these insights through a seven-week professional development programme for educators across Asia, Europe and beyond. Participants will explore how AI can enhance inclusivity, creativity, and cultural responsiveness in the classroom. Through collaborative learning, reflective practice, and the co-creation of open educational resources, this initiative aims to build lasting teacher capacity and support the sustainable, meaningful integration of AI in diverse educational contexts.

Goals

  1. Equip educators with critical AI literacy and practical strategies to integrate AI tools in culturally and academically diverse classrooms
  2. Foster cross-border collaboration through Communities of Practice that promote co-creation of lesson resources and reflective dialogue
  3. Promote effective, ethical, inclusive, and sustainable uses of AI in education.
