Mr Ignatius LOW, Managing Editor of the English, Malay & Tamil Media Group of the Singapore Press and Mr Roman IMIELSKI, Managing Editor of Gazeta Wyborcza in Poland were selected as the co-Chairs of the Asia-Europe Journalists’ Network.

Editors attending the 8th ASEF Editors’ Roundtable on “Asia-Europe Digital Connectivity acknowledged the importance of collaboration between journalists and media organisations from the two regions and created the Asia-Europe Journalists’ Network to engage through research, sources and exchanges.

Participants reinforced the importance of quality journalism to serve their audiences and connect people across Asia and Europe to enhance mutual understanding. One of the first actions this Asia-Europe Journalists’ Network will take up will be the development of an online platform that will enable them to communicate and exchange content with each other.
