Migrants’ health is a key policy development area in public health where knowledge sharing and comparative studies across regions can play an important role. To address that, ASEF’s Public Health Network supported a research study led by the Yuchengco Center in The Philippines and Fondazione ISMU in Italy on ‘The Health Dimension of Asian Migration to Europe’.
The key findings of this study will be shared through a public talk on Wednesday, 9 October 2013 at Palazzo Sormani – Sala del Grechetto in Milan, Italy. The talk, ’Health of Chinese and Filipino Migrants in Milan’, will be organised by ASEF and Fondazione ISMU, with the support from the Milan Municipality. Sharing of research findings will be followed by a panel discussion with practitioners from some local authorities.
On the following day, a similar public event will be organised for young researchers and students at Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. ASEF representatives and researchers from Fondazione ISMU will share the work of ASEF’s Public Health Network as well as key findings from the research study by Yuchengco Center and Fondazione ISMU.
