The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) Public Diplomacy training series recently concluded the 12th edition of its Face-to-Face (F2F) component hosted by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia in the picturesque city of Ljubljana.
Held over a span of 5 days from 18-22 November, 24 junior diplomats from 21 ASEM nationalities had the opportunity to hone their skills and expand on the lessons learnt from the online course held earlier. Professional trainers and experts in the field of public diplomacy offered tutelage and shared experiences.
The face-to-face training is designed as an intensive skills-oriented module that focuses on the practical interaction among the participants, drawing from their diverse international perspectives. Over the course of the training, the diplomats and government officials actively engaged in expert presentations and skills workshops and participated in the visit to the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs to learn more about Slovenia’s diplomacy and public diplomacy practices. Additionally, the programme provided junior diplomats with opportunities to network, which were enhanced through social activities, including a hosted visit to the renowned Postonja Cave and Predjama Castle.
