Leaders from prestigious Asian and European universities will be gathering on 26-27 March 2015 in Hangzhou, China at the 4th ASEM Rectors’ Conference (ARC4), coordinated by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).

Themed “University-Business Partnerships: Asia and Europe Seeking 21st Century Solutions”, ARC4 will address how universities can better cooperate with the business sector to equip students with employability skills, foster entrepreneurship, and create new learning environment through information and communication technologies.

The university leaders will be joined by business representatives, government officials from ASEM countries, and delegates of related international organisations and associations. They will exchange views, share good practices, and jointly develop policy recommendations, which will be delivered directly to the 5th ASEM Education Ministers’ Meeting (ASEM ME5) to be held in April 2015 in Riga, Latvia.

A Students’ Forum will be held in conjunction with ARC4 under the identical theme. Discussing the same topics as Rectors’ from youth perspectives, the students from various ASEM countries will have the chance to present their opinions and suggestions face-to-face to the Rectors.

The Open Call for ARC4 Students’ Forum has been officially launched and will be open till 25 January 2015.
