The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) recently concluded the 11th edition of the Face-to-Face (F2F) component of the ASEF Public Diplomacy training series. The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) hosted the training on 20-24 November 2023 in Australia’s capital city, Canberra.

With 23 participants coming from 21 Asian and European nationalities, the 11th Face-to-face Training aimed at providing practical skills-oriented training on public diplomacy to young, junior-to mid-level diplomats and representatives of civil society organisations, who are working on Asia-Europe relations and dealing with public diplomacy.

The training served as a follow-up to the 5-week Online course conducted by the DiploFoundation, which took place between October and November 2023.  The course laid a foundation for the participants’ better understanding of the intricacies of public diplomacy by looking in depth at the tools, methods, and skills needed for successful public diplomacy activities.
