| Internship Opportunity |
The Public Affairs Department of ASEF seeks to engage a motivated intern for a period of six months starting September 2008. The department promotes public awareness and understanding about ASEF and the ASEM process, and facilitates greater mutual understanding between Europe and Asia through the conduct of active public, media and institutional relations. Its function is to communicate timely and accurate information to a diverse range of constituencies in coordination with all of ASEF’s portfolios. Deadline of application is 15 August 2008. The "3rd Connecting Civil Societies of Asia and Europe" is a side event of the ASEM VII Summit. The two-day conference will generate focused policy discussions on key socio-economic issues facing the regions. The "Model ASEM 2008" conference will take place in Beijing, China, between 25 - 27 September 2008. The conference is a simulation of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), aimed at international students with strong interest in the political, economic and social relations between Asia and Europe.
