ASEF is pleased to announce that it has been accepted as a Global Networking Partner of the European Union Science Diplomacy Alliance (EUSDA), following approval at the Alliance’s recent General Assembly.

The EUSDA is a collaborative platform that brings together universities, research institutions, and partner organisations to advance science diplomacy through dialogue, training, and institutional capacity building. As a Global Networking Partner, ASEF joins a diverse network of stakeholders working to strengthen international cooperation at the intersection of science, policy, and diplomacy.

This partnership builds on ASEF’s ongoing engagement with EUSDA, including collaboration around the EU Science Diplomacy Conference, alongside which ASEF organised the Asia-Europe  Youth Summit on Science & Technology Diplomacy in Copenhagen in 2025. Through this new role, ASEF aims to deepen its contribution to regional and interregional science diplomacy initiatives, while expanding opportunities for youth engagement, knowledge exchange, and cross-sector collaboration. EUSDA is also a Supporting Knowledge Partner for this year’s Asia-Europe Training and Youth Summit on Science & Technology Diplomacy.

ASEF looks forward to working closely with EUSDA and its members to advance inclusive and innovative approaches to science diplomacy across Asia and Europe.
