“Improve Your Online Health: How to Observe Good Cyber Hygiene in Virtual Meetings”
How many online meetings have you joined or organised since the day you turned one corner of your living room or bedroom into a workstation? Are you aware that your increased usage of online collaboration tools comes with an increased privacy risk? Have you ever asked yourself if working from home is making you vulnerable to virtual viruses? In normal times, working with your PC and mobile phones already make you susceptible to cyber attacks – how much more in this “new normal?”
The strange experience of working remotely is part of the “new normal,” a rising trend that makes us more and more connected in the virtual world despite being physically apart as we practice social distancing. And as we continue our good habits to help mitigate the spread of coronavirus even while working in our personal space, we must also observe good cyber hygiene to keep us safe in cyberspace.
In line with ASEF Public Diplomacy Training’s practical approach to learning, our first webinar aims to help non-techie professionals to set basic safeguards to help ensure that their online meetings are protected from eavesdroppers, party crashers, trolls and Zoombombers.
