ASEF Unplugged: Conversations on the Arts in Asia and Europe

“Why do our proposals get rejected?”

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and Five Arts Centre will gather managers of grants and programmes from the private sector and cultural institutions in Malaysia to speak about their initiatives and how these can be accessed for Malaysian arts projects. A moderated open session will follow to understand what are the key aspects that these programmes look out for, how and why proposals get rejected, how to deal with the paperwork and reporting requirements, and what the success rates are like.

ASEF gathers 15 local arts organisation for an evening of informal conversation on Saturday, 9 March, 18:30-20:30, at the Pullman KL City Centre Hotel. ASEF works in culture in Malaysia: we provide information about and for Malaysian artists on our arts website, culture360.ASEF.org; we provide travel grants for events in & artists from Malaysia; we run a museum network that provides training & networking, asemus.museum; and, we could organise events in your country as well.
