The second Model ASEM simulation was held in Manila, Philippines, on 28 February 2007. The conference was co-organised by the ASEF University Alumni Network and
the Department of Political Science at the University of the Philippines Diliman. The event was supported by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).
The Model ASEM Manila conference was opened by Mr René Sieron, Attaché, Operations Section, Delegation of the European Commission to the Philippines,
together with Mr. Zosimo E. Lee , Dean, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, University of the Philippines-Diliman. Ms Carmela Teresa A. Cabreira, Foreign Service Officer, Department of Foreign Affairs, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Philippines attended the conference.
Participants adopted two declarations at the conclusion of their meeting, a Declaration on Global Climate Change and a Declaration on Strengthening Civil Societies and Promoting Human Rights.
