ASEFClassNet EmpowerEd Project 2026
AI for Climate Curriculum Innovation
This online programme equips educators with practical strategies to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to design engaging climate and environmental education within formal school curricula. Through hands-on workshops, participants will learn how AI can align climate topics with national curriculum standards, create interdisciplinary learning experiences, and support Learning by Doing approaches. The programme introduces a student-as-teacher model, where older students design and deliver climate lessons for younger learners, redefining teachers as facilitators, mentors, and learning designers. Participants will also explore how AI can amplify the impact of student projects beyond classrooms through storytelling, community engagement, and digital dissemination. The award-winning Solution curriculum will be presented as a real-world case study, demonstrating how AI-supported curriculum innovation can empower students to become climate leaders while strengthening curriculum quality and educational impact.
Goals
The goals are to:
- integrate AI into climate curriculum planning across formal education.
- design student-led climate learning experiences using Learning by Doing
- scale educational impact through AI-supported communication and knowledge sharing.
