ASEFClassNet EmpowerEd Project 2026
Multimodal Authentic Assessments in the Age of AI

When a student can generate an essay or a speech in seconds, the finished product no longer tells us much about what they learned. This project helps secondary and vocational teachers redesign assessment around evidence that is harder to fake: students thinking out loud. Over five weeks we work from assessment-design principles, then put them into practice with Snorkl, where students explain their reasoning by voice while annotating a digital whiteboard and get instant AI feedback. Teachers leave with real tasks and rubrics they can use straight away, plus a practical way to judge learning with integrity instead of policing it with detection software. The focus stays on the students most at risk of being left behind. Educators from across Asia and Europe learn alongside each other, sharing what works in very different classrooms.

Goals

The goals are to:

  • equip teachers to design assessments that show real thinking, not an AI-polished product.
  • enable teachers to design portfolio-based assessment and trial Snorkl tasks that capture how students think.
  • build rubrics that stay fair for learners

Who Should Join?

  • Secondary and vocational teachers and school leaders from any subject, anywhere in Asia, Europe and beyond.
